Who We Are
B&D 513 Enterprises LLC is a Veteran owned and operated company ran by Joseph Smargie. Mr. Smargie is a combat Vietnam veteran with over 60 years of personal firearms experience and over 40 years of industry experience. Prior to starting B&D 513 he spent over 20 years with an Federal Firearms License doing gunsmitting work for law enforcement on both the federal and local level while living in Morgantown WV. After a few years out of the industry to raise his son he's now back in Martinsburg WV ready to expand his business. With a background in mechanical engineering and being a former bullseye and silhouette competition shooter his gun smithing skills are the right balance of science and knowledge.
Big Beard's Firearms Training
Big Beard's Firearms Training is a connected but separate business ran by Mr. Smargie's son CJ. Big Beard's firearms Training focuses on handgun training for new shooters and concealed carry training. Successful completion of this training and the back ground check done by your local sheriff's office allows you to be able to skip the call in portion of the NICS background check when you purchase a firearm.
